Tyler White founded TKWhite Long-Term Care Law with one goal: to provide exceptional, personalized service to his clients. After leaving a respected mid-size Elder Law firm, Tyler was uncertain about continuing in law, but encouragement from peers in the long-term care industry led him to return to practice. With a decade of experience helping thousands navigate Arizona’s Long-Term Care System (ALTCS), Tyler saw that the pressure some larger firms face can lend itself to treating clients like numbers. Motivated by a desire for more personalized care, he established TKWhite as a boutique firm focused on client relationships and white-glove service.
Rebranding the practice away from the outdated and offputting “Elder Law” label, Tyler’s firm handles all stages of the ALTCS process, ensuring clients receive exceptional service from application to appeals. A graduate of Chapman University’s law school and the University of Utah’s Master’s in Public Policy program, Tyler brings both legal expertise and a strong understanding of public policy to his work. He is an active advocate in the field, having written hundreds of articles, hosted KFNX’s Successful Aging radio show, and guided clients through the ALTCS application process.
Tyler’s deep connections with long-term care organizations allow him to advise on industry challenges, including bad debt, while helping clients qualify for the care they need. Committed to community service, Tyler serves on the board of the Arizona Health Care Foundation and previously on the Parkinson’s Network of Arizona board. His mission is to help long-term care organizations avoid financial hurdles and ensure clients receive the best care possible. Above all, Tyler’s greatest joy is his family, including his wife, Kelly, with whom he co-founded the firm—The K in TKWhite.
Kelly White’s journey into the world of senior care and advocacy began long before she became a key member of the TKWhite Long-Term Care Law team. In 2008, Kelly set out to become a teacher and spent three years teaching at a private school. In 2011, Kelly made the decision to leave her teaching career to become a full-time, stay-at-home mom. From 2011 to 2020, Kelly was deeply involved in raising her children while also dedicating her time to serving others in various volunteer roles.
Kelly’s passion for senior care was inspired by her grandmother, who was a devoted caregiver to seniors and who took Kelly along to work during the summers. From a young age, Kelly developed a strong desire to work with seniors and help them live fulfilling, dignified lives. Though her career path took different turns, Kelly found her way to supporting families through the Arizona Long-Term Care System (ALTCS) process—a role that she finds deeply rewarding.
In 2021, Kelly joined a law firm in the East Valley that specialized in Elder Law and ALTCS benefits. There, she gained invaluable experience helping families navigate the complexities of the ALTCS application process. In 2024, Kelly took the leap to join her husband, Tyler White, in founding TKWhite Long-Term Care Law, with a shared commitment to providing personalized, client-centered service.
At TKWhite, Kelly plays an essential role in guiding families through the ALTCS process, ensuring that clients and their loved ones receive the benefits they deserve. She is passionate about working closely with families to ease their burdens, offering compassionate support as they secure the resources needed for a better quality of life. Kelly finds immense fulfillment in seeing families receive the care and support they need, and her empathetic approach has made her a valued member of the TKWhite team.
Outside of her professional work, Kelly remains dedicated to her family and her community, always looking for ways to give back and make a positive impact.
Jan is a lifelong Arizona resident, with the exception of her college years at Brigham Young University, where she earned a degree in education. She and her husband, Richard, a founding partner at another east valley law firm, are proud parents of six children and now relish spending time with their grandchildren. Jan has extensive experience in navigating complex and nuanced benefits, having worked as both a VA Benefits Coordinator and an ALTCS Benefits Coordinator. She is dedicated to supporting her clients, loves meeting new people, and finds great fulfillment in helping older Arizonans access benefits that enhance their quality of life. Jan is one of the most compassionate people you will ever meet, and she embodies an Oliver Wendell Holmes quote, one of her favorites : “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us.”
